A trail to share with family and friends, the Promenade Savoyarde de Découverte des Forts de l'Esseillon is a fun way to discover our heritage.
This year, Aussois offers a new scenario taking you back to 1840, through the labyrinths of the imposing fortress where spies swarm.
Calling all French soldier volunteers! Infiltrate enemy fort Victor-Emmanuel to shed light on its organization and the life of the Sardinian garrison. Collect your logbook to enter the fort and solve the riddles that will also enable you to free Lieutenant-Colonel Desgranges. The giant leaves scattered along the route will provide you with the information obtained and passed on to the French general staff by the lieutenant-colonel before he was imprisoned.

Depending on snow conditions: bring snowshoes to descend to the Fort.
Fewer workshops in winter due to dismantled batteries.

Location
From the Fort Victor-Emmanuel parking lot, take the ramp below towards the hamlet of Esseillon. Stop at the Guinguette (open in summer only).
Follow the signs to the entrance of Fort Victor-Emmanuel.
