Alpine ski area ofAussois
1500 m - 2700 mThe vast snow front, located in the extension of the Maison d'Aussois, is specially adapted for children and beginner skiers: beginner ski lifts, toboggan runs, ESF snow garden, nursery, games and entertainment. This is also where you can take the Grand Jeu chairlift to the heart of the resort, at an altitude of 2200 metres.
Since the arrival of the Grand Jeu, you can head back down to the base area via blue, red, or green runs that wind through the pine trees. This area has a forest-like atmosphere and features some beautiful runs, such as the red Choullière, the blue Ortet, and the long green Côtes run.
But since the Grand Jeu, most skiers take a second chairlift: the Armoise, which quickly takes you to the top of the ski area. From up there, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Alps and superb slopes for all skill levels. You can also reach the Fournache sector, which faces north-northwest and features technical, challenging slopes.
