TheAussois
Alpine ski area ofAussois
1500 m - 2700 mThe vast snow front, located in the extension of the Maison d'Aussois, is specially adapted for children and beginner skiers: beginner ski lifts, toboggan runs, ESF snow garden, nursery, games and entertainment. This is also where you can take the Grand Jeu chairlift to the heart of the resort, at an altitude of 2200 metres.
From the Grand Jeu arrival point, you can take the blue, red or green runs down to the snow front, winding through the fir trees. This is an area with a forest atmosphere, with beautiful runs such as the red Chouillère, the blue Ortet and the long green Côtes.
But from the Grand Jeu, most skiers take a second chairlift, the Armoise, which takes them quickly to the top of the resort. From here, panoramic views of the Alps and superb pistes for all levels. It's also possible to reach the Fournache sector, with its north-north-west exposure and technical, challenging slopes.
