The Musique Ancienne en Maurienne festival features two days dedicated to Baroque music. On Saturday, August 8, at 6:00 p.m., a concert will take place at the Saint-Laurent du Thyl Church in Saint-Michel de Maurienne. On Sunday, August 9, at 8:00 p.m., the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption Church in Aussois host a 30-minute concert and lecture titled “The ‘Wow’ Effect” of Baroque Sets, presented by Anne Tribouillard, a Heritage Guide for Savoie Mont Blanc. The Toccata e Fuga Ensemble, featuring Gilone Gaubert (Baroque violin), Mathilde Horcholle (Baroque transverse flute), Nathan Gaillard (viola da gamba), and Calliopé Chaillan (harpsichord), will perform works by Baroque female composers such as Anna Bon di Venezia, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Mademoiselle Duval, and their contemporaries.
