Walks in the Vanoise National Park
The flamboyant forests and alpine pastures ofAussois are an ideal playground for hikers. Belvederes, the large lakes of Plan d'Amont and Plan d'Aval, easily accessible from the village, and accessible trails allow you to discover the mountain in a different way in autumn.

Every fall, don't miss the big fall event between Aussois La Norma! The Dry Tooling Contest takes place in early October at Hell Cave, in the Gorges du Diable, at the foot of the resort.
On the agenda: a spectacular competition combining climbing and mountaineering techniques, in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Whether you’re a climbing enthusiast or just a spectator, this unique event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience climbing in a whole new way.
The deer's rut
In early fall, a powerful, hoarse cry echoes through the forests: it is the deer’s rut call. It marks the deer’s mating season. Usually shy, the males then join the does and make their voices heard to assert their dominance over their rivals.
This is a particularly sensitivetime for the animals. To avoid disturbing their mating habits, keep your distance, remain quiet, never try to approach the deer , and do not use a flashlight or camera flash to observe them. Dogs must also be kept on a leash.
