Snowshoeing itinerary: La CroixAussois

Let us guide you to the CroixAussois, nestled high above the village. From the Oratoire Notre-Dame de la Paix, the trail descends into the Gorges de l'Enclos, then winds along the Saint-Pierre stream through pine trees and rocks.

Description

As you climb, snow-capped peaks come into view on the horizon, until you reach the CroixAussois, a peaceful landmark in the heart of the valley.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

• 1/ From the MaisonAussois, walk along the parking lot from the snow line to the Sentier des daims, passing the MaisonAussois.
  2/ 0 h 10 - At the Sentier des daims intersection, turn right, then left to reach the Pont Saint-Pierre, first via Saint-Pierre, then via La Ruenne.
  3/ 0 h 40 - Continue to the next intersection to reach a wider path. Follow this path as it gradually rises to the CroixAussois.
  4/ 1 h - Turn around and return by the same route as before, taking in the views of the surrounding peaks.
