Trail de la randolière

© Tour de la randolière - OTHMV - B. THOMAS

Gain altitude effortlessly and enjoy exceptional variety. Forest, alpine meadows, mineral valleys and views of prestigious peaks... A wide range of environments await you for a gentle introduction to hiking.

While Lac de Plan d'Amont beckons with its fascinating blue waters, Râteau d'Aussois and Pointe de l'Échelle seem to watch over you peacefully. Why stop there? As you make your way to the torrent de la Fournache, keep an ear open for Dame marmotte. She announces your arrival with a whistle that echoes throughout the valley. The call of adventure makes you want to spend the night at the Fournache refuge. Or maybe the Plan Sec refuge makes you hesitate. A gourmet break might be just the thing to scout it out. Just imagine waking up in the morning in this atmosphere of remote alpine pastures and a world of minerals! For the time being, however, a return journey via the lifts leaves you plenty of time to laze in the soft grass on this sunny slope.
