Aussois Traditional Village Festival.
On August 14 and 15, Aussois celebrates and revives its traditions with a variety of activities for young and old throughout the day and evening. A unique event that will take you back in time! In Aussois, traditions are far from being ancient history. With a big fair! Program for this festival organized by all Aussois associations, volunteers and various Aussois structures. The soul of a mountain resort village that loves to welcome and share its history, its cultural and natural heritage.
Every year, thousands of people take part in this unique and spectacular festival in Aussois!

PROGRAM 2025 :

* THURSDAY, AUGUST 14, 2025:
-From 9 a.m.: Sale of brioches and farmhouse breads in the communal oven by the Ski Club Aussois (no reservations, until the last loaf is sold).
-Ticket sales at the museum for the traditional evening meal on the Place (subject to availability).
- Glow-sticks for the evening torchlight retreat (€2) on sale all day at various points in the village center.
-5 p.m.: Opening of the Aussoy associations' refreshment bar on the Place. Aperitif plates for sale.
- 6pm: Musical aperitif with the Accord'Oé group on the square.
- 7pm: Traditional meal "diots - polenta - cheese - blueberry pavé" by Aussoy associations on the village square (last service at 8:30pm). Reservations from 11/08 at Musée l'Arche d'Oé: Adults 15€; Children under 12 12€ (non-refundable).
In case of rain, the concert will take place in the Salle des Fêtes.
- 7pm: Batucada "Timb'Alu" from Saint-Michel de Mne wanders through the village.
- 9:30pm: Torchlight procession. Meet in front of the church with your torches/luminous sticks to accompany the Clique des Pompiers d'Aussois parade towards Plan Champ.
- 10pm: Fireworks at Plan Champ. Return to the village square with the Clique des Pompiers d'Aussois.
- 10.30pm: DJ BLAZEE. The heart of the village turns into a giant dancefloor! Dance until 3am to the sounds of madness!
* FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2024
All-day raffle.
- 9:30 Mass in the village square, followed by a procession in traditional costume to the church. Cakes for sale at the exit.
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Nutcracker merry-go-round. Carousel powered by human energy and recycled materials. Place des chantres.
Wooden fair: games...
- From 12:30 pm: Aperitif plates for sale at the refreshment bar (charcuterie and cheese).
- 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.: Opening of the Aussoy associations' refreshment area with traditional snacks on the square.
- 11:30 am: Children's show by the Aussois folk group "Lo Z'Oërin".
- 1pm to 6pm: Big fair in the heart of the village. On the program: masts, nutcrackers, candy wheel, biathlon, zip line, slackline, chamboule tout, wheel of fortune, angling, fishing for prizes, barillon weighing, envelopes, darts, PGHM, ring toss, candy, cotton candy and doughnuts and much more... lots of prizes to be won at the fair - Tickets on sale all day at various points in the village. New: Bring your ecocup or buy your glass: no return of deposits.
- 3pm Parade of Aussois firefighters in Empire uniform, the Compagnie des Guides, Mauriennaises in costume, Aussoyens, the folk group and the guest brass band. From Notre Dame de la Salette to the village square.
- 4pm: Performance by the "Lo Z'Oërin" folk group and guest band from Ollioules (83).
- Discover the helicopter of the PGHM: Peloton de gendarmerie de haute montagne specialized in delicate and dangerous interventions in high mountains (subject to availability of the PGHM team). In direct liaison with the pilot. Please respect the instructions and safety perimeter on site.
Traditions: "La Victoire" firemen's pump, traditional songs, accordion, August 15 pottery sale, games of skill, festival...
