Come and visit the Church of Aussois, a magnificent witness to Baroque art in Savoy.

Description

Built for the most part during the 17th century, in the great breath of the Catholic Counter-Reformation, its exterior appearance, rather austere, does not allow you to guess the astonishing splendor that awaits you, once you have crossed the portal: the colors and gold shines in the richness of the frescoes, paintings and altarpieces with twisted columns.
An art at the service of faith, the glorification of divine majesty, the exaltation of the cult of the Virgin and the Saints. By the abundance of images, it is meant to be a lesson for the faithful and the whole village came to sing "the canticle of eternal hope".
