Description Chalet de l'Ortet

This accommodation has been awarded 4 cimes by the Haute Maurienne Vanoise 'Qualité Confort Hébergement' label.

At an altitude of 1800m, right next to a snow-covered piste with snow cannons, the chalet's location guarantees access to the Aussois ski area all winter long. Luggage and food for the week are transported by snowcat by the owner.

In addition to the pleasure of isolation in the middle of the mountains, the chalet offers great comfort with 8 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, fireplace, underfloor heating, 6 shower rooms, 4 WCs, wifi, sauna, tumble dryer, games and dance room, etc.

1st large living room/kitchen (27 m²), lounge around the fireplace and large table seating 18 people for meals. Open-plan kitchen. High ceilings. Chalet decor (old wood, stone, round wooden beams).
A 2nd small lounge/kitchen (19 m²), lounge around a wood-burning stove and table seating 9 people for meals. Open-plan kitchen. Chalet decor (old wood, stone, round wooden beams).

3 terraces around the chalet to enjoy the sun or shade to your heart's content. Sublime unobstructed view of the mountains. Parking behind the chalet.
In winter, skiers access the resort via a blue slope from a chairlift. Then, throughout the week, you can ski down to the resort's ski area. Non-skiers can reach the chalet in 45 minutes on foot via an easy, wide green trail (departure point for snowshoe walks directly from the chalet).

In summer: access by car to the chalet. From the village, there is a 2.3 km tarmac road, followed by the last 200 metres on a dirt road of average quality. Private car park in front of the chalet. A number of walks can be taken directly from the chalet.

There is also a high-altitude restaurant 200 m away for those who want to enjoy a Savoyard fondue.
