"Passion" Fishing Trail from the St Benoit stream to Aussois
In a magnificent mountain setting in the heart of the Vanoise Natural Park, this route offers relatively simple fishing in a calm stream. Here, the brown trout reigns supreme.
Description
Specific regulations: All techniques. 2 hooks or 3 artificial flies, barbless. A maximum of 1 fish per day per angler. In the heart of the Vanoise National Park, fishing with live or dead fish, and taking bait from the area, is prohibited.
This trail is accessible via a 30-minute walk along the Plan d'Amont reservoir after leaving your vehicle at the foot of the dam. At the Séteria bridge, which marks the downstream limit of the trail, you can leave the trail to follow the stream in search of brown trout. While fishing is relatively easy in the absence of vegetation, you will need to be very discreet in your approach and when setting up your line. The flow is fairly sustained by snowmelt until the end of June.
