July 14 festivities - Craftsmen's Day

For National Day, exchange, sharing, camaraderie, celebration, local crafts, and traditions take center stage all day and into the evening in the heart of the village of Aussois ⛪‍

PROGRAM FOR TUESDAY, JULY 14, 2026, IN AUSSOIS:

9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. ARTISAN MARKET
All day long, around forty local artisans will showcase their creations in the streets, on the town square, and in the village shops. Activities, demonstrations, tastings…
-Starting at 10:00 a.m.: Sale of brioches and freshly baked country bread by the Aussois Ski Club until the last brioche is sold (no reservations required)
-From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Eco-friendly merry-go-round powered by parents, wooden carnival rides, and face painting on the village square with the Tourist Office
-From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.: Refreshment stand run by the folk group Lo Z'Oërin. Remember to bring your reusable cup

FESTIVE EVENING IN THE HEART OF THE VILLAGE
-From 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Performance by the children of the “Lo Z’Oërin” folk group
-From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM: Traditional meal in the square, courtesy of volunteers from the L’Arche d’Oé Museum. On the menu: Diot Polenta, cheese bread, and Aussois rack of lamb; €15 for adults, €12 for children (under 12). Reservations must be made at the museum the week before July 14
-From 7:15 PM to 7:45 PM: Performance by the adult members of the “Lo Z’Oërin” folk group
-9:45 p.m.: Torchlight procession accompanied by a marching band. Lanterns will be on sale in the village and at the Tourist Office all day long, sold by local Aussois associations
-The Aussois Firefighters’ Band will set off from Planchamp toward the village square
-Broadcast of the World Cup soccer semifinal in the village square and in the bars
-10:15 PM: DJ Set Mix & Match until 1:30 AM in the village square
Event will be moved to the community hall in case of bad weather
