Safety first

The mountains are a place of freedom and adventure. But before you leave the open, safe slopes, always make sure you follow the safety rules:

  • Check snowpack quality with resort professionals, weather report and BERA (Bulletin d'Estimation des Risques d'Avalanche)
  • Mandatory equipment: shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver(hire from sports stores)
  • Be accompanied by a professional who will systematically check your equipment before the outing.
